Story behind Outer Space series
My friend Grace gave birth to this series. She is a poet and we agreed that I would illustrate one of her poems. I liked her poem that suggested outer space to me. Another friend Gaewinn told me about the beautiful photographs of outer space taken by an Englishman named Jerry from the roof of his house. I loved his photo of Andromeda. The Ring Nebula painting was based on a photo taken from a book of astral body photos.
